C2PA Checker

Analyze C2PA manifests, digital signatures, and origin chains directly in your browser. 100% local verification with zero cloud upload.

Check Content Credentials

The checker inspects C2PA manifests and Content Credentials locally. A missing manifest does not establish authenticity or whether AI was used.

What Are C2PA Content Credentials?

C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) is an open industry standard for cryptographically tracking digital media provenance. The C2PA Checker enables you to inspect whether an image or video file contains provenance manifests, digital signatures, or editing histories.

How Does C2PA Validation Work?

Upon opening a file, the tool reads the embedded JUMBF metadata block and validates the cryptographic signature chain. Manifests document declared AI generators, editing actions, or camera certificates. All inspection runs locally in your browser.

Understanding Provenance Status

A technical validation status indicates cryptographic consistency of signed metadata. A missing C2PA manifest does not establish whether an asset is genuine or AI-generated, as many social platforms strip metadata upon upload.
